Ready Fire Aim

Or as I like fire, fire, fire, fire, fire, fire, fire, fire, fire, fire then reload and fire again.  I am always ready and don’t need to aim.

That is my issue.  I want to fight first and talk later.  I was taught to fight for what you want since I was a young child.  I do  not like that part of me.

I was talking with my wife last night about our new phase of life.  Faced with many changes this year, I am having to be humble in my spirit.  This is very hard to do.  I have always scratched out my way and funded myself for everything I have had in life.  I am going to have to learn to humble myself and allow others to help me.

I am reminded of Peter who walked with Jesus.  Peter was a fighter.  Every time he was confronted, he would square up and want to fight.  Jesus loved Peter and helped him become a humble follower of HIS WAY.  Below are his words.  I want to be infected with the art of being humble and receiving the blessing of others.

Learn to be humble and to trust

1 Peter

5:5 – You younger members must also submit to the elders. Indeed all of you should defer to one another and wear the “overall” of humility in serving each other. ‘God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble’.

5:6-7 – So, humble yourselves under God’s strong hand, and in his own good time he will lift you up. You can throw the whole weight of your anxieties upon him, for you are his personal concern.
